High Airtightness and Thermal Performance
Timber frame construction provides the highest levels of thermal, acoustic and airtightness performance. Reducing the U-Values of the build to 0.12 W/m2K. It also reduces Thermal Bridging, with thermally modelled junctions, their low thermal mass also allows spaces enclosed by timber frames to heat up more quickly than masonry construction, reducing the high energy bills for the occupier. Timber frame build provides airtightness levels and acoustic attenuation levels that far exceed the new part L Building Regulation requirements 2022.
We can also provide fire mitigation measures to accommodate site specific fire reports.
Speed and a more precise on-site programme
Timber frame panels typically take just 8 weeks from design to delivery on site. We set a delivery date once designs have been approved and orders placed, helping to establish more accurate site programming. All our panels are engineered to the highest level of accuracy, allowing for quick, snag-free installation. Indeed, a typical 4-bedroom detached property would be completed in 2-3 weeks.
The quicker erection time also enables the build to achieve a watertight stage faster than alternative build methods. This allows access for first fix interior trades such as plumbing, electrical and mechanical heat recovery to begin work earlier in the build programme whilst work is still being completed on the exterior leaf (typically stone, brick, render or timber).

Reduced on-site labour
As all our panels are pre-engineered, our timber framed buildings demand less labour on site than traditional build methods. If you choose, we can fill the open panel timber frame with high-performance insulation, and our Design Expert will be happy to provide you with a quotation for this. Moisture/vapour barriers are incorporated into the outer leaf of the wall which completes the structure, further reducing the amount of on-site labour needed.
Reduced Health & Safety Risks
Thanks to the decrease in on-site labour required during the construction process, there are fewer on- site hours – with a resultant reduction in risk to health and safety. Construction of timber frame build is considered a cleaner option since there are fewer trades involved, generating less site waste. This again helps improve health and safety. By reducing build time, you’re also cutting environmental nuisance and disruption to local residents. Our carefully staggered approach to panel delivery also enhances site health and safety further by delivering panels as they are required, virtually eliminating the risks associated with on-site storage.
