Project Stages
Once an order has been placed, it will take 8 weeks to commence erection on site. The stages of the process are as follows.
01. Quotation
You will receive a quotation within two weeks of us receiving the architectural drawings
02. Order Placed and Consultants Instructed
Once you have signed the order and paid the deposit; engineering calculations will be ordered.
03. Approval Drawings
Upon receipt of the engineering calculations, Timber Frame Approval Drawings are completed for review with the customer and architect.
4. Foundation Design
We will provide sole plate drawings and line and point load calculations to enable your engineer to complete your foundation design.
5. Manufacturing Drawings
Panel, truss and joist drawings are produced ready for production. The manufacturing part of the process commences.
6. Pre-start Meeting
A site meeting is convened with the client and builder to assess scaffold requirements, lifting plans, readiness, welfare facilities and potential hazards.
7. Pre-erection Checklist
The final stage before erection where all parties review the documentation and confirm readiness and safety.
8. Erection
Starting with the sole plate and ending with the trusses; this process typically takes 2 weeks per plot with the Contracts Manager on hand to answer any customer queries
9. Snagging and Handover
The final review to make sure the builder is ready for first fix, external coverings and building control sign off of the timber frame phase.
